Feral, 4P — Frenzied Regeneration also affects all raid and party members. This effect cannot be triggered if you have been in Bear Form for less than 15 sec. In addition, using Tiger’s Fury will cause your next Ravage to cost no energy, not require stealth, and have no positioning requirement for 10 sec.

Well, so much for the free Rallying Cry. A bit of a kneejerk change; I think this is a reaction to the claims that people would “stack ferals,” yet you didn’t really see people stacking DPS warriors in 4.2, did you?
The tweak to Ravage, though, is MUCH more interesting. Apparently, they got some good feedback that FC->Ravage was one of the fun parts of the class, and want to build on that. I agree; this is an nifty and dynamic way to do it which also bumps the skill cap a bit. (Don’t want to use Ravage immediately after TF since you’ll presumably be close to energy cap, but you want to use it before the DPS increase from TF runs out…)

It definitely increases burst damage, though. I’ll let someone more skilled in feral PvP discuss the implications there, but I know there were already complaints about feral burst.

I hope they implement the ability to stack charges, considering the opener involves us losing energy, popping TF, applying rip/rake to take buff, and using Ravage from Stampede to help with the low energy, just before TF runs up, before the timer falls. That would lead to 2 Ravages being able to be used, but unless they allow the buff to stack, then we get one and it would only be useful for subsequent TFs.

    The counterpoint to that would be “OMFG FERAL BURST, NERFTOTHEGROUND!” Two free ravages would be ridiculous… if you wore pve gear to pvp, which would make you a glass cannon, so hope no one is there to stun you, gg.

    I thought the 4pc was supposed to help target switching? Yes, I understand that stocking that charge of Ravage for the next target is useful, but that doesn’t allow us the energy to put up Mangle/Rip/Rake, though that is dependent on the health of the target… for a low health add, it sounds worthwhile… if timed correctly. I would love some more info to how long the buff lasts, if they just make TF proc Stampede (which sounds the easiest thing to do, which would make it sound like there wouldn’t be stacking charges), or how the buff will show up.

    • Forgot in the initial paragraph “FC into combat” which would be where I would be desiring the stacking of charges of Stampede.

    • If you put 2 points into stampede, your ravage becomes free. So I’d be using those within the 6 seconds of TF to get the 15% damage buff. Also try to refresh DoTs if they are close to get extra damage on those, too. 6 seconds is plenty of time to use those 4 abilities. DoTs first then both ravages.

  2. the free ravage has pretty much no pvp bearing as you’d never not use the 4pc pvp set, and *surely* wouldn’t wear 4pc pve in any serious pvp environment as you’d just get blown up.

    i do like the change, but feel that the kitty 2 and 4pc bonuses should probably be swapped.

    i think the only legit solution to the bear raid CD is 2 sets of gear, frustrating as that may be.
