Previously, Ghostcrawler had said that Incarnation would add armored forms, and the first models for these appear to be in the game files as of the latest patch. (They are not yet actually tied to Incarnation in-game, however, so there’s a very slim possibility that this could be for something completely different.) Go check out the models using wowhead’s modelviewer, and see what you think.  Personally, I’m not a fan of adding armor to the cat form, but I understand there’s a very limited number of ways you can visually “buff” an animal avatar, so I’m okay with it. This would be cool, though. (Kidding.)

Also, Nature’s Vigil no longer works for AoE abilities, which I expected. (Sorry restoration druids, no temporarily topping the DPS charts with Tranquility.)

  1. Looks likely that the armor is for incarnation. Which makes sense. Likely means we’ll get armor in bear forms too.

    • Kal! Been a while. I hope Ala and Josh are doing well, and you’re still getting the chance to play here and there.

      • nah. I’m a full time dad and druid bitcher.

        D3, on the other hand…

        • D3, truth… Having played a bunch of it on their beta, I’m not overly impressed (thank you excessive time and hype build up reaching an unobtainable level), though it will be something to pass the time, as WoW is the most boringly monotonous thing in creation.

If it weren’t for the people… yeah, if it weren’t for the people, hahaha.

As I typed that, Clerks reference: If it weren’t for the customers, this job would be great!

          • D3 was everything that I wanted and then some. It wasn’t that different from D2, and I’m totally fine with that. It was fast, easy, and had tons of mobs dying horrible deaths.

I’m sure that it won’t be the most amazing thing known to man but I’ll be happy if I can play an hour or two every other day or so. Which is way more than I could do with WoW and be, ya know, content with the results.

  2. Armoured bear would be awesome. Northern Lights/Golden Compass anyone?

    • Meh, I got my Panserbjørne mount back in WotLK.

    • yes, ala golden compass (but leather instead of metal) would be fine. However, what they’ve shown to date for both bear and cat are ugly/gaudy, cartoonish (yeah, i know this is a game), and really not attractive imo. The cat armor, in particular, doesn’t make me think agile cat — the horns at the front extend too far to allow my cat to bite, and the wood slabs — just no. I do recall that there are already some armored bear models in wow and that they look better than this proposed player bear version (if memory serves).

  3. So… armor. I really, really wish it wasn’t what showed you that you’ve an ability active (focus fire the flashy thingy in the pee vee pee!), though it is ncie to finally see ‘some’ changes to cat form.

Ever since they did away with the original catform, I’ve been highly disappointed with all catform designs. I LIKED BEING WYVERN CAT! I really with we could go back to that, even with a minor glyph. (Wink, wink, nudge, nudge)

I’m waiting for armor to be active at all times. It would build upon what was stated just after people started obtaining the staff from Fandral: Will we be expecting this from every tier, so people can see the gear I’ve got to flaunt my prowess? Essentially, instead of having some ridiculously flashy on use, or in combat, item that is extremely boring after a few uses, that with each subsequent tier of gear, you’d see the upgrades (hat, shoulders, chest, legs).

  4. I apologize for posting this on what is probably not an appropriate post to comment on, but I was curious as to how I can make this version of the website to send me e-mails when a new post is put up. I wasn’t aware of the change to the site until just recently, so I want to make it do that again so that I can stay updated. Thank you.

  5. Action Cats are Awesome!!
