5.2 Valor pieces VS upgradeable items in 5.1

Has anyone seen anything datamined about what items will be available for valor? I'm assuming we hold back on upgrades on the replacable ones until they points are pure throwaway. Likely, there won't be Agi/leather for all slots, so there's a sweet spot of current upgrades and pending items. Also, I'm assuming we need to stack Valor to cap to be able to acquire them asap before the patch drop.

This takes nothing in account for boss drops, but how can you? I still can't even get a damn sha touched weapon....

I don't think they've had any valor gear up, but I have yet to be on the PTR so don't take my word for it.

If you use last tier as a precedence then valor gear would likely be of normal gear quality (522). Just a guess.

They haven't datamined any gear at all yet other than placeholders.

MMO-Champion.com just releases some datamined Valor Shadowpan Assault gear at 522 ilvl, but it's unclear if its the "same" valor or something different. Seemingly, they're suggesting that this is earned from 5.2 dungeons of all types which wouldn't then mean we could roll into 5.2 with 3k capped to buy new stuff. It's currently showing potential replacement items for all slots except:

Helm, Boots, 1 ring slot, 1 trinket slot and a weapon

SO, I'm guessing we want to use upgradeable slots from items directly above with valor now assuming we have enough time to rebuild our valor pool. The Krin Tor Offensive rep only shows 476 ilvl gear which isn't terribly interesting at this point.

Am I thinking of this right? Also, the Assault rep items at Revered, which will take the longest to attain are Shoulders, chest and belt. Other slots are Neutral- honored to replace which I assume is relatively short cycle.

The amulet, legs, belt and bracers all have haste which is unfortunate. It's all ilevel 522

Neutral: Amulet
Friendly: Ring, Trinket, Wrist
Honored: Hands, Legs, Cape
Revered: Chest, Shoulder, Waist

The trinket looks interesting, 1467 HIT with a 5079 AGI for 20 secs proc. It's not clear what the ICD is.

Rep with this faction is earned by killing 5.2 raid bosses regardless of difficulty level. All VP the night before 5.2 rolls will become JP when 5.2 goes live so saving up isn't likely to be useful. If you are sitting on VP with nothing left to buy with them then upgrades look useful rather than losing them to JP.

Update. Valor will no longer be converted to JP. You will keep your Valor going into 5.2.
