Timing Trink Procs

Alright, this is one of my last areas where I'm just painfully ignorant.

First, I don't know how to maximize trink procs. I've tried entering them into 2 or 3 addons, and even loaded a stock add on to proc trinks. Didn't seem to work for me and I couldn't see when they hit.

Second, what exactly does one do differently if a trink procs? Save berzerk for it? TF? Drink an agi pot? Haste pot? I've had a feeling that this is a rather detailed area to explore, so maybe that's why I've avoided it.
