5.2 NV Change

Nature's Vigil now has a 90-second cooldown (was 3 minutes), and now increases damage and healing done by 10% (was 20%).

Would anyone be able to say how this affects cat dps, now that it no longer perfectly aligns with Berserk for double burst? Will it still be slightly more dps than HOTW?

Would be interesting to get a comparison between the current 20% increase with TF/Beserk for 30 seconds across a 3m period compared to a minute of a 10% increase with the second lined up with only TF.

Only thing it'd largely affect I'd imagine would be your initial rip/rake(s), bug exploited or not as well as potentially subsequent execute range rip.

Edited(Thanks Tinderhoof):How does it not perfectly align with Berserk for burst? Berserk is on 3 min, NV being 1.5 min just means Berserk will align with NV on every other one.

You mean every Berserk. 1.5 minute cooldown means it will be up for every Berserk, and every 3rd TF.

I suppose in my mind I called it a no longer perfect alignment because it's now only half its original potency (10% instead of 20%) when paired with Berserk, for less burst, and 50% of the time no Berserk for it.

I'm not sure why it'd affect cat dps at all. NV was the go to talent for ... none ... of the fights this tier with the possible exception of heroic wind lord depending on the strat you used. Never was much of a talent, and definitely won't be after. I mean, hotw is basically a passive 6% damage boost and you actually have to use cds for 10%? Yeah right.

It was really strong with the rip bug (now irrelevant of course) but it's pretty damn good on Sha of Fear (normal, not sure about heroic) and does pretty well on fights with a lot of downtime (Lei Shi).
