Valor Upgrade Dilemma

Evening folks, so I'm currently in a dilemma as to what I should be upgrading next going into 5.2 The guild I'm currently in has decided they we would stop doing Heroic MV so I will probably not see a Heroic Bottle of Infinite Wishes. However, a few individuals are interested in doing a 10 man heroic for people that will be main switching in 5.2. So, my question is should I upgrade my Normal Bottle 2/2 or upgrade something 1/2 and still pool valor for the off chance I do see a heroic Bottle? Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you.

Are you aware that they aren't converting Valor to Justice with the patch now? You want to make sure that when 5.2 hits you are at 3000/3000 so you can buy more of the 5.2 Valor gear.

I know they aren't but they're still removing the upgrade vendor for a while (unless they changed that) and I'd like to have some 5.1 pieces upgraded that will still be good going into Normal Raids.

It really isn't worth it unless you don't think you're going to be able to spend your VP fast enough in T15 (and I don't know why you'd think that). You're only going to get 8 item levels from 1500 VP on an item you will likely replace relatively soon, instead of spending around 2k VP on a 522 item that you'll probably be using for quite a while.

Just need some clarification. I knew some of the rewards are going to be gated behind reputation gained through killing raid bosses. Will there be ilvl 522 items, non-gated, available upon the patch going live?

I think you are able to purchase at least one 522 item after killing one boss in the new raid.
