Question regarding socket bonuses when to go for them and when not too.

I just purchased the Klaxxi Lash of the Borrower. It has 1 blue socket with a bonus of 60 crit. At what stat amount should I try and get the bonus insteand of gemming straight red agility gems?

You should only try to gem for the socket bonus if its agility or all the sockets are red. Please ignore the fact that I did so, will be fixing this weekend.
