Ran ZA for the first time Saturday Night. Bear Tank Queued and did the classic "Eeeeww Feral Druid, stay away from MY gear". W/E. So he didn't stay, just dropped group about 10 mins into it so I thought sweet, maybe I'll get a piece of 353 gear since no one else in group wore leather. Needless to say, I got three drops that were absolutely perfect. I was surprised and happy. Woot! Just need to gem the shoulders now. Winning! :lol:

Edit: It was the head, shoulders and bracers.

Everything else on me is 359 but those stupid things. Or perhaps we can finally get Cho'gall past 20% and i get my tier piece.

I was really really lucky to be the only one to Need on those. I think the rest of the group was upset that nothing else dropped for either of them. Alaron, if you transfer to Akama I'll craft you Assasin's Chestplate at a low low cost. :lol:

You should save your chaos orbs; the new patterns take them and they'll be in high demand early on.

I have them in the bank, smart thinking though Fel. I will hang on to them. Sorry Alaron, guess those blues will have to work.

I hope they up the drop rate of Pristine Hides in 4.2. With all of the new LW Patterns taking 8 a piece I don't see myself crafting many, maybe a good time to dump some gold in the AH for these ATM.

I know your guys' pain about the shoulders, my blue ones were my last blue item along with my cape for the longest while till Cho'gall finally coughed up a token (never saw the shoulders off Omnitron, though my rogue got them in like his first or second time in there >.>).

Eh, I don't think I'm honestly gonna bother doing the dailies to get the recipies in Cata personally, sure I can get em and sell the armor for gold, but as I'm already sitting on 52k+ that I don't use now, likely ain't gonna change...my rogue will be doing enough to unlock the Engineering ones though, that new scope attachment for huntards should sell nicely...

I honestly don't understand how everyone can have so much gold and for some to be gold capped.

I make do with around 5k at a time, maybe I'm in the wrong profession. Should I trade skinning for maybe Enchanting or JC?

As for the gear, I am in the market for a new weapon, any thoughts/suggestions?

TB Dailies and Fishing are good earners for me. Whilst queuing for a heroic or waiting for a spot to open up in my raid, I just fish the Twilight Highlands river and lake for the Highland Guppies, which sell for 140 to 170g a stack on my server. Before I know it, I have 1000g in an hour or so.

Honestly, a good 30k+ I saved up from Wotlk, I mean I've spent and earned my fair share since, so only now really at 52k...I find getting lucky and winning rolls on boe epics and sell them (our group run just has open rolls on boe epics to sell unless we know a guildie or have an alt that could use it, got more than enough in the gb after all). The boe boots were a decent seller before the patch became imminent, and of course if you didn't take advantage of selling during the hyper inflated prices when cata launched, kinda foolish you didn't...

Also you don't need to level fishing at all to fish up cata fish, just find the right pools in the appropriate areas and start casting.

This thread is way off topic and should probably be moved somwhere else...

Anyways, I'm sitting on 750k+ gold now. Made it mainly with LW, JC and Enchanting. Making gold off your professions is a big topic and there is a huge community out there, if you want to learn it.

The best advice I can give to anyone, who wants to get started, is get Auctionator and LilSparky's Workshop:

Go to the AH and do a full scan (button on the last tab). Do a /rl to reload your ui. Then open your profession window and LilSparky's will tell you how much you can profit by crafting each item. Buy the mats and craft whatever makes a profit that you know sells well.

If you get started doing that, and you get to know your markets, you will never be short on gold again.
